Has Everyone Lost Their Minds?

This weekend is the “premier” of the movie Snakes On A Plane.  I have heard several different comments made by tv personnel and radio DJ’s today…stating that “finally the movie is in theatre’s”  and “it’s going to be the #1 movie at the box office this week” and all I can think is…..has everyone gone completely insane?  Have you seen the trailer for this movie?  Even the name…..there is no way in hell I would spend the money to go see this movie in theatres and really I don’t understand what all the hype is about.  It looks like a pretty lame movie to me.

Narnia

Last night we rented The Cronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.  I must say that it was the best movie I have seen in awhile.  I had not read the book prior to seeing the movie, so I really didn't know what to expect, but I found it to be very good.  If you have not seen this movie it is a guaranteed….must see!

Daylight Savings Time…..

Spring is now officially here!  Daylight Savings Time happened over the weekend, the clocks were set ahead by an hour.  The days are getting longer…..more sunlight.  Ahhh!  It just takes awhile getting used to the hour that we lost.  I was so tired this morning, my alarm went off at 5:30, so that I could go to the gym, but I really didn't want to get out of bed.  I slept until almost 7:00!

I rented two movies this weekend……Derailed & Flight Plan .  Derailed was pretty good, it definatly had a twist at the end that I wasn't expecting.  

Flight Plan was okay, it seemed a little far fetched but it was still an alright movie. 

History Of Violence

Last night we rented the History of Violence . I thought it was slow moving and even boring at times. I really thought it was going to be a way better movie than it turned out to be.
As for Syriana and Munich, neither of those movies are out on DVD, and as of now there is no word on when they are going to be released. Crappy! I should have just went and seen them in the theatre.

Movie Night? Hmmm….quite possibly!

UPDATED:  Went home after work last night, and realized that Survivor was on, so I didn’t bother to go and rent a movie.  Then at 8:00 pm, when Survivor began,  I found out that the episode they were showing was a repeat from last Thursday.  Arg!  I should have just gone and rented a movie…oh well. Such is life. 

 

I’m thinking that I might go and rent a movie tonight.  I’m not really too sure what the “new releases” are at this very moment.  I do know that “The History of Violence” is out on DVD, so maybe I’ll rent that one. I have heard some good and bad reviews…but I try not to listen to those.  I have in the past, heard reviews for certain movies, and then watched them and found my opinion to be quite different than everyone else’s.

I have also been waiting for “Munich” and “Syriana” to be released onto DVD…..so who knows, maybe I will find that one of those two movies are now out. To tell you the truth, I haven’t stepped foot into a video store in about three weeks!
